DESCRIPTION:
6’ Flexible Film Isolator is designed to accommodate rats and mice cages within a segmented polyurethane flexible bag that is attached to a plastic base. The rodent cages are held on a three-tier plastic rack that rest on the floor of the isolator. Cages and animals are manipulated using two pairs of glove sleeves. Air is supplied to the isolator through a canister attached to a disposable HEPA filter located within the isolator. The isolator has a transfer port with a hinged, gasketed clear plastic exterior door. The racks will hold two isolators stacked one on top of another.

TYPICAL USE:
Animal quarantine, housing and production of immunodeficient animals, and maintenance of foundation colonies of genetically-modified animals. Isolators also provide a cost-effective method of biocontainment or bioexclusion for critical research studies.
