Features & Benefits

Compartment Features:
Each compartment provides zero-threshold door openings allowing ergonomic and unencumbered access to the compartment interior.

Each compartment offers the ability to use Britz & Co. exclusive interchangeable enrichment devices to stimulate species specific behaviors.

Excreta Pans:
Excreta pans are constructed of 20 ga. stainless steel sheet with a 2B finish. The exposed edges are hemmed, and the corners are seal welded. Flat Pans are provided as standard equipment; Rear-draining Pans, or Metabolic Pans are available as optional equipment.

Pivoting Divider Panel:
Pivoting Divider Panel features a high and low passage between cages to provide a choice of escape routes.

Wire Mesh Ceilings:
Allows Brachiation opportunities for animas in lower compartment.

Options

Cage/Wall Locks:
Wall brackets and cage coupling latches are available as optional equipment to fix the units to the building structure.

 
Connecting Tunnels:
Tunnels are available for connecting the top enclosures to the bottom enclosures via the guillotine doors, or for connecting an enclosure to a transfer or restraint cage. The tunnels are custom designed to meet the needs of the customer, and built to the same specifications shown above for the cage units.
Environ-Richment® Entertainment Panel Brackets:
Special brackets are available to allow the attachment of various devices for the enhancement of the well-being of the caged non-human primate. These include, but are not limited to: Thermoneutral Nesting Boxes, Foraging Box/Fleece Board Holders, Puzzle Feeders, Fleece Rollers, Feed Tubes, Operant Panels, etc. These units incorporate common devices available commercially, and other custom brackets for individual requirements. The Fleece Board Holder Bracket and the Puzzle Feeder brackets do not include the standard commercially available fleece board, not the puzzle feeder.
Removable/Replaceable Panels:
Any of the wire panels on the cage units are removable and replaceable. This feature allows for the utilization of alternative materials and environmental enrichment devices. In addition, by removing the opposing panels from two cages positioned directly adjacent to each other, the cage areas of two or more cages may be utilized for gang housing.
Feed/Water Bowls:
6 oz. (150 ml) stainless steel bowls that can rotate or slide in.
Watering:
Rear mounted SS watering manifold with small primate valves.
Drain Troughs:
Rear mounted, center drain, for use with rear drain pans.
Card Holder:
3" x 5" card holder on large shield welded to screen front to prevent access to cards by occpants

Water/Dry Forager, Small:
1" wire mesh basket with polycarbonate foraging pan.
Browse Basket, Small:
1" wire mesh basket with stainless pan.
Roller Panel, Small:
1" wire mesh with mounting brackets for up to 3 roller inserts.

Stainless steel fleece roller holder for use with Roller Panel.
Feeder Tube:
PVC feeder tube for use with Roller Panel.
Nesting Box, Small:
Polypropylene materials; which occupies the enrichment device location.

High Density Polyethylene panels located at the back of the unit provides and optional thermoneutral resting perch.
